What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is any breathing practice that alters the breath for therapeutic benefits. The Breathwork technique Laura facilitates is a two-part connected breathing. Laura will guide you through the session to a playlist curated specifically for you. This breathing pattern facilitates an emotional release, moving you out of your head and into your body. This work connects you to your authentic frequency and vibration. The breathwork container is a space for you to feel, process, be exactly as you are, and witness you whole self with compassion.
What is Reiki?
Reiki translates from Japanese to Universal Life Energy. It is the vibration of universal love that works on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. The best way to understand reiki is to receive it!
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness where the subconscious is receptive to positive suggestions. The subconscious mind holds the key to creativity, intuition, and manifestation. Hypnosis helps rewire the brain and create new neural pathways. Using hypnosis for healing is very different from stage hypnosis. You are in full control of the process. Laura serves as a guide, holding the container of love and support, allowing you to have your own healing experience.
Is it safe to practice breathwork if I have a history of medical conditions?
It is advised to see a mental health practitioner and/or physician before any breathwork session if you have concerns about the work. Laura guides in very gentle and encouraging way, helping you trust your breath, your process, and yourself
Is it safe to practice breathwork if I am pregnant?
Please consult your primary care practitioner and your ob-gyn for approval before a breathwork session.
What is the difference between breathwork for relaxation and breathwork for activation?
Elements of Breathwork for relaxation:
Breathing through the nose
Slower breaths - lowers cortisol, immediate stress reduction
Examples: Diaphragmatic breathing, box breathing, 5-3 breathing, 4-7-8 breathing
Elements of Breathwork for activation:
Breathing through the mouth (primarily)
Faster breaths(primarily): emphasis on circular breathing
Creates slight over-oxygenation
Alertness - releases adrenalin
Stimulates immune response and lowers inflammation post session
Increases cortisol short term which builds resilience long term (similar to working out)

What can I expect from a Breathwork & Reiki session?
Every session is different! Some sessions are deeply cathartic, others might bring up discomfort, and others are mellow. Part of this work is letting go of control, releasing expectations, and surrendering to the present moment. The work is highly intelligent. Your breath is highly intelligent. You are tapping into your unique magic. Trust in your inherent wisdom to show you what you need.
What can I expect from a Hypnosis session?
The first session begins with a discussion about the intake form and reasons for the visit. Laura will help you identify goals that are positive, believable and achievable. The session moves into a hypnotic induction curated to your needs. Hypnotic suggestions are implemented based on your goals. Post hypnotic suggestions are then used to reinforce the positive suggestions from the session, empowering you to create change daily. The session will close with processing, questions, and suggestions moving forward.
